Last updated: August 1, 2026. This policy describes how Appfinity LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use Master Key Genie on Windows, mobile, and this website.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we process the email address and authentication details needed to sign you in.
- Project data you create. Master key systems, bittings, doors, and related project content you enter in the app. This data is stored on your device first (offline capability).
- Synced encrypted data. When you sign in and sync while online, project documents are encrypted on your device before upload. We do not receive plaintext bitting or pin data through sync.
- Website basics. Like most sites, our host may collect standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to operate and secure the site.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve Master Key Genie
- To authenticate your account and sync your encrypted projects across your devices
- To respond to support requests you send us
- To protect the security and integrity of our services
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Security measures
We designed Genie so sensitive system data stays protected:
- Encryption. Synced project payloads are encrypted (AES-GCM) with a key derived from your account credentials before leaving the device.
- Row-level security. Cloud records are scoped so each signed-in user can only access their own rows.
- Offline-first. You can keep working without a network; sync happens when you are online and the vault is unlocked.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please use a strong unique password and keep your devices under your control.
5. Sharing
We use infrastructure providers (for example authentication, hosting, and sync backends) only as needed to run the product. They process data under agreements that limit use to providing those services. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.
6. Retention
Account and synced data are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. Local project data remains on your devices until you delete it or uninstall the app.

8. Children
Master Key Genie is intended for business and trade use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
